One of the best places to ride mountain bikes in the Castle Rock area is by far the Ridgeline mountain bike trails. The trail system is located in the heart of The Meadows master planned community in the Ridgeline Open Space. The trailhead is located at 252 Coachline Road Castle Rock, Co 80109 and is open sunrise to sunset daily.
The trails are 13.5 miles in total length and are very well marked. This single-track ride is moderately difficult and is made up of packed dirt from the native surface.
The total acreage of the Ridgeline Open Space is 370 acres and is managed by the Town of Castle Rock.
I have ridden these trails dozens of times. No matter how many times I ride, I never get tired of the surroundings. The views of the Front Range are spectacular. On most clear days I can see from Pike’s Peak in the South all the way up to Long’s Peak up North.
If you are looking for company, there are many clubs and groups that ride the trails frequently. I have ridden multiple times with a group from The Country Pedaler Bike Shop. The owner, Alex usually leads the rides.
I am spoiled because I live in The Meadows and I am only 5 minutes away from these great trails.
