We are just about 3 months away from the hustle and bustle of the holidays. Do you ever feel the pressure of getting those perfect gifts? Before you know it January is here and those great family traditions you wanted to start have slipped by because we are so busy with holiday parties and shopping. Well, start your season off right with a wonderful Castle Rock tradition. This is one my family has always enjoyed. Luckily the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce and Fire Department have been lighting the star on top of the Castle Rock for 78 years. Even with 50,000 residents living in the town it’s these type of celebrations that give us the small town feel that we love here in Castle Rock. This ceremony will be held the Saturday before Thanksgiving, November 23, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and the star will be lit at 5 p.m. on Wilcox Square. There will be carriage rides, hot chocolate and caroling. Even Santa Claus will be there. Click here for more details & I hope to see you there!
